Research Division:
The Foundation started with the aim of working parallel with government agencies and to facilitate them in improving the standard, helping in maintaining peace and tranquility of society. For this, methodical studies of endemic and emergent problems in the principles and practices of law enforcement policing, maintaining homeland security, transnational security and trafficking, gender justice and promotion of science and technology are undertaken constantly. Reformation in correctional services and forensic sciences, being an integral part of the justice system is also thoroughly researched.
Research division carries its activities under the guidance and mentorship of a Research Council, which comprises senior officers from Services and Academicians.

Dr. Tapan Chakraborty
Dr. Tapan Chakraborty was superannuated (2013) as Dy. Director (Research) from Bureau of Police Research and Development(BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. He published at least 30 books, research papers from India and abroad and number of articles in different Police Journals. He was awarded with certificate of appreciations from Directors General Police of BPR&D and best Researcher certificate. He was ornamented with President of India Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Pandit Govind Bhallav Pant Award for writing book on Hindi. He is a guest lecturer in reputed Universities and Institutions like IIT, Bombay, Delhi University, Madras University, KITT University, Amity University, Bundelkhand University, North Bengal university National Institute of Forensic sciences etc.. He is also Member of different national organizations and invited in TV talk shows.I am playing Indian Classical Instrument (Sitar).
Dr. O. P. Mishra (IPS)
Dr. O. P. Mishra, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations & Communications, Delhi Police. He was awarded President’s police Medal for Meritorious Services 2012. He received UN Peace Medal in 2001 for serving as International Civil Police Officer in UN Mission at Kosovo.
Shri Vineet Kapoor (ADC)
He serving as the ADC to the Governor of Madhya Pradesh. He served for a long duration as the AIG (Training), Madhya Pradesh Police with a specialization in Training and Police Reforms. He is an officer of 1995 Batch of Madhya Pradesh Police cader. He has rich professional experience at national and international level, with Governments and International Agencies in the area of Policing, Police Training and Security reforms.
Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Chakraborty
Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Chakraborty did his LL.B, M.A. (Political Science) and LL.M. (Tort and Crime) from the University of Calcutta and got his Ph.D. from the University of Burdwan on” Probation System in the Administration of Criminal Justice in West Bengal”. Immediately after passing LL.M. in 1985 Dr. Chakrabarti joined in West Bengal Education Service and posted as Lecturer in Law in Govt. of West Bengal Hooghly Mohsin College on 5th July, 1985. On 27th November, 1996 he joined in the University of Calcutta and became Professor w.e.f. 01-01-2007 and worked as Head of the Department during 2002-04. At present he is holding the post of Director, School of Law, KIIT University.
As a prolific writer Dr. Chakrabarti has so far authored seven (7) Books and published more than 70 articles and Research papers in edited book, national and international journals. Dr. Chakrabarti has also established himself as a researcher in the field of Criminology and criminal justice in India. He has successfully guided fourteen(14) Ph. D. scholars and associated with many research projects conducted/sponsored by NLSIU(Bangalore), NUJS(Kolkata),UNDP, Govt. of India, ICSSR, and UGC. He has also participated and presented papers in many National and international Seminar & Conferences
Dr. Dipa Dube
Dr. Dipa Dube has been pursuing her career as an academic for over a decade. Having completed her LL.M. and Ph.D from the Universities of Pune and Calcutta, Dr. Dube has been involved in teaching of graduate and post graduate courses in Criminal Laws, Criminology, Penology, Evidence etc. in reputed Institutes of India such as NUJS, Kolkata and NLU Jodhpur. Presently, she is working as an Associate Professor at the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur. She has many books and articles to her credit. She has participated as resource person and expert speaker in National and International Conferences. She has also undertaken research projects in diverse areas of criminal law, disability, human rights etc. funded by Government agencies.
Mr. Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan
Mr. Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan is currently pursuing Ph.D on “Combating Cross-Border Human Trafficking between India and Bangladesh: Developing an Integrated Reparation Model” at the City University of Hong Kong on a grant awarded by Hong Kong University Grant Commission. He was Awarded Michigan Grotius Research Fellowship to research at Michigan Law School during Mar-May, 2013. He did LL.M and M. Phil from the W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. He was awarded British Chevening Scholarship and completed his second LL.M from the University of Essex, UK in International Human Rights Law. He has written three books based on his three dissertations namely “Lok-Adalat: An Effective ADR Mechanism”, “Reparation to Victims of Crimes under ICC” and “Restorative Justice”. He has also published several articles in national and international journals and developed numerous Training Manuals and Study Materials.
Dr. Azizuddin Khan
Dr. Azizuddin Khan is currently Associate Professor (Psychology), Psychophysiology Laboratory, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. He has research interest in the field of Developmental Neuropsychology, Eyewitness Testimony, Police Investigation, EEG / Event Related Potential, Eyetracker, and Prospective Memory. Dr. Khan is an eminent psychologist, prolific writer and author of many books and articles in scientific Journals. He has written two books, Prospective Memory: Realization of Delayed Intention and Clinical Child Psychology and more than two dozen articles in peer review International Journals . Dr. Khan was awarded as Young Scientist at International Congress of Psychology, Berlin, Germany in 2008. American Psychosomatic Society, Chicago, USA, awarded Cousin's Center Global Outreach Award (2009). Awarded Hermes Fellowship by the Ministry of Foreign affairs, France, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS),and La Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH), France in 2009. Awarded scholar exchange scheme Under ICSSR-ESRC (UK) bilateral collaboration programme for the year 2009, ICMR Young Biomedical Scientist, 2011-12 Finalnd, and Awarded as Visiting Scientist under Indo-Rusia Cultural Exchange at Saint Petersburg State University Russia, International Collaboration Programme ICSSR New Delhi, India in 2012-13, and ERASMUS Fellowship in 2014. Dr. Khan visited as research scientist to Germany, Finland, France, Sweden, Russia, Greece, Japan, Turkey and Ecuador. Dr.Khan also visited United States, Portugal, Spain, El Salvador, Iran, The Netherlands, and Switzerland to present his scientific work. Dr. Khan has completed more than 12 projects sponsored by BPRD, DST, ICSSR etc. Currently, Dr. Khan is heading four projects.
Dr. Parantap Kumar Das (Associate Prof.)
Dr. Parantap Kumar Das served as a Research Fellow for Doctoral Work in the Department of Criminology in LNJN NICFS (MHA). He has been awarded University Gold Medal as the best criminologist in the University and for standing First Class first by the Banaras Hindu University in recognition of his brilliant academic achievement. Dr. Das has qualified the UGC-NET Examination for eligibility for Lectureship held on 26th June, 2005. Dr. Das is also the Life Member of Indian Society of Criminology. He is the author of many articles which have been highly acclaimed in academic circles. The topic of his Doctoral Research is Changing Pattern of Dacoity in Chambal Valley: A Sociological Study. Invited as an Expert by Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) for the Brainstorming Meeting to validate the Training Module for Sensitization of Government Officials regarding the Sachar Committee, appointed by the Government of India.
Smt. Manisha Chakraborty
Smt. Manisha Chakraborty graduated with B.A.LL.B(H) from Midnapore Law College, Vidyasagar University, West Bengal with a Gold Medal in 2008. She had completed her LL.M with specialization in Criminal Law from KIIT School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar also with a Gold Medal in 2010. She had been an intern in B.P.R&D, SLARTC i.e. a renowned NGO and Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL), IIT, Kharagpur. She had presented papers in various national and international conferences also. Then she joined RGSOIPL as a Research Associate. Now she is pursuing Ph.D. from that esteemed institution.
