Foundation for Police Research is well equipped to impart specialized training on various aspect of Policing. Excellent and world class Trainee of Trainers (TOT) are engaged to train Police and Other Forces & to share the burden of government agencies on hire basis. It also reviews the process of training and identifies the future training needs keeping in view the socio-economic and political changes and technological advances.
Foundation maintains a panel of well experienced faculties from different field and different walks of life. These consists of Serving/superannuated Police Officers, Acedemicians, Scholars & Researchers, Personality grooming experts etc.

Shri Jyotiswaroop Pandey, IPS (Retd.)
Shri Jyotiswaroop Pandey, Former DGP (Uttarakhand) and Former Member of Police Reform Commission, Uttarakhand. Shri J Pandey Joined the Indian Police Services in the year 1976 and has served in Uttar Pradesh in Anti Corruption, Vigilance, and Criminal Investigations branches including CBI. He has also served SSB, Home Department of UP. He was decorated with the President’s Police both meritorious and distinguished services.
Dr. Tapan Chakraborty
Dr. Tapan Chakraborty was superannuated (2013) as Dy. Director (Research) from Bureau of Police Research and Development(BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. He published at least 30 books, research papers from India and abroad and number of articles in different Police Journals. He was awarded with certificate of appreciations from Directors General Police of BPR&D and best Researcher certificate. He was ornamented with President of India Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Pandit Govind Bhallav Pant Award for writing book on Hindi. He is a guest lecturer in reputed Universities and Institutions like IIT, Bombay, Delhi University, Madras University, KITT University, Amity University, Bundelkhand University, North Bengal university National Institute of Forensic sciences etc.. He is also Member of different national organizations and invited in TV talk shows.I am playing Indian Classical Instrument (Sitar).
Prof. (Dr.) John Winterdyke
John Winterdyk is a Full Professor in the Department of Economics, Justice and Policy Studies at Mount Royal University in Calgary (Alberta, Canada). In 1988 he became the first student to graduate with a Ph.D. in Criminology from the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada). Upon graduating he joined the Department of Justice Studies at Mount Royal College (University since 2009). From 2006 to 2009, he served as the Department Chair before becoming the first Director of Mount Royal’s Centre of Criminology and Justice Research. He served as its Director from 2010-2012. In 2009 he was the recipient of the first Distinguished Faculty award and in 2008 the recipient of the Distinguished Team award. John currently holds adjunct positions at: St. Thomas University in Fredericton (New Brunswick, Canada), the University of Regina (Saskatchewan, Canada), and the Polytechnic of Namibia in Windhoek (Namibia). He has published extensively in the areas of youth justice, human trafficking, crime prevention, international criminal justice, and on various criminological issues. He has authored or edited more than 28 academic books and (co)authored several dozen peer reviewed articles. He has also served as a guest editor for three international peer-reviewed journals, including a special issue for the International Criminal Justice Review on the theme of genocide and a special issue for the European Journal of Criminology on human trafficking. He also sits on a number of international advisory boards. In his spare time John is an avid cyclist..
Dr. Azizuddin Khan
Dr. Azizuddin Khan is currently Associate Professor (Psychology), Psychophysiology Laboratory, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. He has research interest in the field of Developmental Neuropsychology, Eyewitness Testimony, Police Investigation, EEG / Event Related Potential, Eyetracker, and Prospective Memory. Dr. Khan is an eminent psychologist, prolific writer and author of many books and articles in scientific Journals. He has written two books, Prospective Memory: Realization of Delayed Intention and Clinical Child Psychology and more than two dozen articles in peer review International Journals . Dr. Khan was awarded as Young Scientist at International Congress of Psychology, Berlin, Germany in 2008. American Psychosomatic Society, Chicago, USA, awarded Cousin's Center Global Outreach Award (2009). Awarded Hermes Fellowship by the Ministry of Foreign affairs, France, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS),and La Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH), France in 2009. Awarded scholar exchange scheme Under ICSSR-ESRC (UK) bilateral collaboration programme for the year 2009, ICMR Young Biomedical Scientist, 2011-12 Finalnd, and Awarded as Visiting Scientist under Indo-Rusia Cultural Exchange at Saint Petersburg State University Russia, International Collaboration Programme ICSSR New Delhi, India in 2012-13, and ERASMUS Fellowship in 2014. Dr. Khan visited as research scientist to Germany, Finland, France, Sweden, Russia, Greece, Japan, Turkey and Ecuador. Dr.Khan also visited United States, Portugal, Spain, El Salvador, Iran, The Netherlands, and Switzerland to present his scientific work. Dr. Khan has completed more than 12 projects sponsored by BPRD, DST, ICSSR etc. Currently, Dr. Khan is heading four projects.
Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Chakraborty
Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Chakraborty did his LL.B, M.A. (Political Science) and LL.M. (Tort and Crime) from the University of Calcutta and got his Ph.D. from the University of Burdwan on” Probation System in the Administration of Criminal Justice in West Bengal”. Immediately after passing LL.M. in 1985 Dr. Chakrabarti joined in West Bengal Education Service and posted as Lecturer in Law in Govt. of West Bengal Hooghly Mohsin College on 5th July, 1985. On 27th November, 1996 he joined in the University of Calcutta and became Professor w.e.f. 01-01-2007 and worked as Head of the Department during 2002-04. At present he is holding the post of Director, School of Law, KIIT University.
As a prolific writer Dr. Chakrabarti has so far authored seven (7) Books and published more than 70 articles and Research papers in edited book, national and international journals. Dr. Chakrabarti has also established himself as a researcher in the field of Criminology and criminal justice in India. He has successfully guided fourteen(14) Ph. D. scholars and associated with many research projects conducted/sponsored by NLSIU(Bangalore), NUJS(Kolkata),UNDP, Govt. of India, ICSSR, and UGC. He has also participated and presented papers in many National and international Seminar & Conferences
Smt. Manisha Chakraborty
Smt. Manisha Chakraborty graduated with B.A.LL.B(H) from Midnapore Law College, Vidyasagar University, West Bengal with a Gold Medal in 2008. She had completed her LL.M with specialization in Criminal Law from KIIT School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar also with a Gold Medal in 2010. She had been an intern in B.P.R&D, SLARTC i.e. a renowned NGO and Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL), IIT, Kharagpur. She had presented papers in various national and international conferences also. Then she joined RGSOIPL as a Research Associate. Now she is pursuing Ph.D. from that esteemed institution.
